EDGE is a multi-gaming community, and we are looking to leave our footprint in Guild Wars 2. Our primary focus is, and will be, PvP; we strive to be the best we can possibly be on the battlefield. However, we do not exclude any content, and will be participating in PvE events as well. The above image is a general overview of who we are, and what we aim for.

We strive to work together and better ourselves both as individuals and as a team. We treat each other with respect, on and off the battlefield, and ask that you do the same. We don't require you to be the "Best on the Server" or even the best within our group; We are not elitist, and we realize that people have lives outside of "the game". What we ask is that you strive to become a better player.

We are looking for members with a positive attitude, who can roll with the punches. Whereas we will do our best to win every PvP match we take part in, the fact of the matter is that there are times we will not emerge the victor. We are looking for those who can find enjoyment in the good and the bad, learn from mistakes (as individuals, and as a team), and take and give constructive criticism in a positive manner.

Activity is expected before release (read "now"), especially within TeamSpeak 3. We are aiming to build a community, and would like to get to know our members before the glorious day that is Guild Wars 2 arrival. All new members who apply and are accepted are encourage to play League of Legends; that is what many of us are doing to pass the time.

WvW
Our alliance is, currently, based upon WvW. We intend on doing our best to dominate the WvW field. We are currently in the process of selecting days and times in which we, as EDGE, will enter WvW. Those times are not optional; if you are in game, you are expected to attend. We are here to do our part, and get things done. If you are of like mind, we welcome you.

Recruitment
Our recruitment is handled through an application process. Upon completion of the application, applicants may be contacted for an interview in TeamSpeak.

Our general age for recruitment is 18. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

The application for our Guild Wars 2 division may be found here.

EDGE is now part of an alliance.

This alliance is run democratically, with no one guild being greater than any other. This alliance consists of:

Pain Train
Team Legacy
and EDGE Gaming

Together, we are looking to bring in one or two more guilds to join us in our endeavors for server unity, WvW, and Structured PvP. If you feel as though your guild shares our views, and you are that guild, contact any of the guild leaders of the guilds mentioned above. We'd love to meet you.

The Guild Wars 2 Team made a helpful post on the ArenaNet blog about reserving names for Guild Wars 2. Give their whole post a read, and if you want some more details be sure to check out the clarification on the wiki that was posted to the Guild Wars 2 Twitter.

Names will be global, with only one player able to have a specific name no matter which server they play on. One word names, which could not be created in Guild Wars, will be cleared with the beta wipe and open for everyone as soon as the Headstart Access begins. So if you are after a one word name be sure to practice your character creation during one of the upcoming BWE and be ready to create it as soon as the servers go live. Any other name can be created now in Guild Wars and as long as the account has been active this year, or is active at some point up to the date they make the list it will be reserved for the linked Guild Wars 2 account. To claim your reserved name simply create your character anytime during the Headstart Access or on launch day, or by the time support tickets are resolved, and you are good to go. After that point any of the 20 million names which are unclaimed will be available for all players to pick from.

One word name: Be ready to log in day one of the Headstart Access and create your character fast

Other name: Create it in Guild Wars now and then on launch day or before. If it is taken in Guild Wars already wait until a day or so after launch to see if it is freed up by a player who didn't want to keep the name.

I saw the first season of Lost when it was new, but then Guild Wars came out so I never found the time to continue watching the series. Now GW2 is finally on the horizon so I figured I better see Lost now...otherwise I'll have to put it off another seven years!

Over the last couple months I've gone through all six seasons. Today I finally got to the series finale (and the epilogue short which wraps up the Dharma and Walt stories). Since every new season seemed to just bring more questions and not give us any solid answers, I was really surprised at how well they were able to tie everything together in those last few episodes.

Now it's all over but I'm left with just one more question the series wasn't able to answer for me. :?

There's no spoiler tag, so I'll try to blend the text in with the background so you'll need to highlight it.

Are we all actually alive right now, or are we just stuck in Purgatory until someone hits us with a car or beats us so we finally remember our past lives where we each already died?

This is the first Guild Wars 2 sPVP video from Team Intolerance, it covers the aspects of the thief; the ability to down opponents quickly along with the classes potential for survival. The majority of the opponents are advanced players-- which allows for more encounters in the higher skill bracket.

Before watching this video it is best to know that it entails a cinematic presentation with a prolonged opening sequence and closing sequence. For those that do not wish to view the video in its entirety (the manner in which it was meant to be presented) then I would recommend going directly to the PvP which starts at [0:55] and ends at [8:38].

I hope you gentlemen enjoy this video since the weekend was rather hectic, and difficult to accumulate great footage with all the lag.

Gehenna plans to set up on the Ehmry Bay server, and will be active in every aspect of the game. Our goal is to become one of the server's premier guilds, a name that everyone knows, and the first guild you expect to see whenever our server scores a great victory in PvP or PvE. We are playing mostly in US timezones, but we are split pretty evenly between the east coast, west coast, and in between; we certainly aren't limited to US players, and invite members from anywhere. We play virtually all hours of the day and night, between us, so most players probably won't be lonely. And we invite players from all over the spectrum, from casual to hardcore and PvE to PvP (we're not very big on RP). We have a place for just about everyone. We only have a couple requirements.

-Members should be mature. We don't strictly have an 18+ requirement, but especially immature players, or loud and obnoxious kids will find themselves kicked out pretty quick. We expect that, in public chats, people will represent the guild well.
-On the other hand, you should be fairly laid back. We do not like to have a lot of draconic policies. For example, we don't limit cursing in guild chat (although it gets old if it's over the top), so people who are offended way too easily might not fit.
-Players should have a good sense of humor, but take the game seriously to a certain degree, too. Joking around in-game is great, but if we're fighting bosses or something we do want to make sure they get done right.
-Just be friendly and we'll all get along fine!

Gehenna's core of old-timers are mostly hardcore gamer types who have been gaming together in various venues for over 13 years. We have had a strong endgame presence in a couple different MMOs, especially FFXI and WoW, and we're now moving just about our entire core over to GW2. So there is definitely a place in Gehenna for hardcore gamers, the types who like to take on the toughest challenges a game has to offer. Our plan right now is to have regular guild events (hopefully the game will allow for us to do this on a regular schedule), where we tackle the most difficult PvE content available as a coordinated guild. We also want to have a strong presence in WvW and competitive PvP, so gamers with these interests will definitely be in good company.

At the same time, we want to encourage casual gamers to join up, as well. We don't have attendance requirements, so players with busy lives can feel at home; most of us are pretty busy, ourselves, so we can definitely sympathize when real life has to take priority, and that's just fine! We are really excited to bring in casual gamers who 1) want to get into the more hardcore aspects (we love to teach!) or 2) just want to stay casual. We're always down to help out our guildies, so don't be intimidated if you're on the casual side; we want you, too!

Please come check us out! Our website: http://gehenna.enjin.com/

We also use Ventrilo. A mic is not required, but use of Ventrilo will be for guild events, at least just to listen.
We're still working on getting all our members registered on the new website, but it's gradually coming to life. Any questions about our guild can be posted in our public forum, there, so don't hesitate to drop in, say hello, and ask any questions you might have. And then, fill out an application! And then, while we wait for the game to come out, feel free to join us on other games. These days we're playing a lot of MW3, but we play other stuff too.

Thanks for reading, we hope to hear from you soon!

Covering over ten titles from Starcraft II to Mortal Kombat, vVv Gaming consists of professional and amateur gamers as well as a graphics team and a staff of about 20 people, and we receive an average of 45,000 unique visitors to our site every month. One thing that separates us from other organizations is that we rarely pursue and bid on top talent. We believe that our role in esports is to identify talent early and help it to develop, an essential part of the growth and success of competitive gaming. Not only do we do this for competitive players, but if you're an aspiring eSports commentator, player, coach, content provider, or even want to work in the competitive gaming industry, then vVv Gaming is the place for you! We help you gain skills for eSports, skills for life. Anyone can join, regardless of skill and experience, you just need the passion to want to contribute. To make sure we're getting the most passionate people in eSports, vVv has an application process that can take 60-90 days. With more than 4,400 applications and just over 700 acceptances vVv has a 16.8% acceptance rate! So if you're serious about being part of the growth of eSports, take a look at our Applications Forum

vVv Gaming is looking for players of all skill levels for our Guildwars 2 team. Anyone and everyone is welcome to apply. Though some restrictions do apply.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP:

Activity and Value - What we want from you is to be a valuable member of our organization. We require all members to use social media like Twitter and Facebook. Adding content is incredibly important for any member of vVv Gaming and we expect the same level of activity from every member and applicant. Beyond that, we also expect you to get to know the other members. Socialize with them in game, on the forums and shoutbox, and social media.

Respect - vVv Gaming is built on a platform of diversity, it's what makes us so great. We do not tolerate any form of sexism, racism, or homophobia. We pride ourselves on being a large community with players with all kinds of backgrounds. Our passion for gaming brings us together, and our respect keeps us strong.

Drive - Motivation is a key factor in any game. We will never ask you to be anything you're not, but we expect you to play to the best of your ability. Whether you're looking to be a high-end competitive player, or just a casual, it doesn't matter in our eyes. We want every member of vVv to have the utmost fun with whatever game they play. But we also want you to strive to be the absolute best you can be.

Contests - We hold giveaways, launch events, and all kinds of other contests. Sometimes we'll give away entire games, sometimes gear from our sponsors. Beyond the giveaways, we also hold events at the launch of major games we plan to be involved in. These vary with the game, but are always aimed at creating a fun atmosphere for everyone involved.

Structured PVP teams - vVv Gaming, no matter what, will always be comprised of two factions: The casual and the Hardcore. Because of this we have systems in place to create fun for both ends of the spectrum. A month after the release of Guild Wars 2 we will be holding try-outs for our Tournament PvP teams. These will consist of nothing but vVv members battling it out to prove themselves the best. Those we feel should go on to the next stage will be hand picked by the leadership and taken for further try outs. But you may be wondering "Oh I'm not hardcore, I just want to play casually". Well, worry not, because we have stuff for you as well! We encourage players to form their own teams within the guild to play with. Everyone has a right to play with a team, just because you don't get picked to go into the Tournament rounds doesn't mean we don't want you to PVP with us.

Knowledgeable, and experienced leadership - The President of vVv Gaming is a well known and experienced team-leader. When we go to him with ideas, issues, comments or concerns we know we're talking to someone who isn't giving us useless responses. On top of that, the leadership of the Guild Wars 2 guild is well versed in MMO gameplay and guild work. With people from <vodka> on World of Warcraft and <Triality> on Everquest, we have a solid team in place taking the reins of leadership.

A place in a passionate community of competitive gamers - Everyone has a place in vVv Gaming, regardless of who you are or how good you are. Being in vVv Gaming means you'll be surrounded by gamers who are passionate and determined to be the best you can be.

Voice Chat - Mumble is a requirement of all members and applicants. The very best PvP and the most challenging end-game PvE requires excellent communication. Stopping to type out orders or advice can cost you the game. It's the 21st century. There's no reason you can't get access to a microphone. We will not consider applicants that can not use Mumble voice chat.

Kinda Fearsome - Casual, Friendly, Mature

About "Kinda Fearsome".

We started in LOTRO when it was in Closed Beta, then got a branch going in SWTOR, and now plan to plunder through GW2. So our guild is multi-gaming community and we will be playing these 3 MMOs for now. Our members age vary from early 20s to late 50s. We don't have any drama or grief, everything is on a good level of maturity and understanding.

We are mostly NA, EST time zone, but we have some guys from Australia and New Zealand too.

"What are our plans for GW2".
We plan to plunder and rob... oh wait, I meant to say we plan to have a lot of fun . We usually try everything that game has to offer as long as our real life has time to spare. But we will definitely be doing some PvP in all of its forms, along with a lot of PvE and basically do whatever is fun. We will have guild events, and competitions too.

"What we expect from our members".
Have fun and help others to have fun. We don't have strict rules of raiding or any type of that requirement as a casual guild. Basically "Kinda Fearsome" in GW2 will be a place where you can come home from work and relax while having fun pew pewing some mobs or other players. That's what we've been doing for years.

Help others - this will be quite easy in GW2 thanks to Dynamic Event system. We have a tight group of people that know each other throughout the years of gaming together. Pretty laid back somewhat-crazy bunch of guys and some gals. If you happen to be a couple - our members are pretty decent so you won't hear any cussing or BS... for the most part. In game chat its all decent, no griefing or drama allowed, we have voice chat as well.

Come check us out -www.kfgamers.com. Lets wait for GW2 release and be excited together. If you happen to want to apply for guild or participate in discussions please apply for an account. Our guild site is located on guildportal website. Its very secure so you don't have to be concerned about your personal information.

While GW2 is still in testing stage you can already come join us and play GW, LOTRO or SWTOR with us. Some of us also play different console and PC games.

If you have any personal or other questions about our guild/community you can send them to our guild founder at mightili@gmail.com, or PM me here. I'll be glad to answer them for you.

Hope to see you soon on our forums and in games.
